On May 21, 2007, the State Board of Education hired the Transition Coordinator for the Education of Students who are Blind or Visually Impaired, Aylee Schaefer.

Standards Update

Idaho Standards for Infants, Toddlers, Children, and Youth who are Blind or Visually Impaired, were Approved by the State Board of Education on 10/11/07.

What’s Next For the Standards?

  1. The State Board of Education reviewed and incorporated comments received from the Public Comment Period on the Standards. Recommendations were incorporated into the Standards. The State Board of Education reviewed the recommended changed to the Standards and adapoted the Final Standards on 10/11/07.
  2. The Standards are incorporated as Board Rule.
