What is the status of I-PLN installation?

  • 21st Century Community Learning Centers (22)
  • Canyon-Owyhee School Service Org. (COSSA)

  • Juvenille Detention Centers
  • Idaho institution of higher education with responsibilities for pre-service teacher preparation

 

For what purposes is I-PLN being used?

The major current uses for I-PLN are:

  • ISAT intervention
  • Remediation
  • Acceleration; college prep
  • Classroom support
  • Special populations support: Special Education and Limited English Proficient students
  • Alternate graduation mechanism
  • Credit recovery

Most often heard comment from users: "The more we use Plato the more ways we think of to use it."

What results are being experienced?

During the 2006-2007 school year, the number of hours of significant usage was up.

I-PLN Completion

  • Over 126,000 student hours were logged
  • 18,000 students completed modules
  • Over 200 days of on-site professional development were delivered

What activities are expected for the 2005-2006 school year?

  • Plato will re-align courseware to changes being made in Idaho’s content standards and will continue to assure I-PLN alignment
  • Continuation of support for districts: engineering, professional development
  • Make any courseware updates available to districts/schools (Need a link to New Product Description page)
  • Expanded data collection
  • Plato will again host a user conference—more information soon
