The series of cross-state comparison maps below from NAEP 2007 Writing display how each demographic group in Idaho (i.e., all, male, female, White and Hispanic) compared to its counterparts in the other states and across the nation. Comparisons of average scale scores are based on statistical tests (.05 level) that consider magnitude of differences and standard error. States coded in green had a higher average scale score than Idaho. States in yellow had a average scale score that was not significantly different from Idaho.  States coded in red had a lower average scale score than Idaho.
