(Boise). The Idaho State Board of Education voted today to uphold the decision of the Idaho Public Charter School Commission (IPCSC) which was to revoke the charter of Nampa Classical Academy (NCA).

The Board took hours of testimony from representatives of both NCA and the Charter Commission over the course of three different days in their exhaustive review of the appeal.

Discussion centered on the school's ability to service debt/obligations from last fiscal year while still having sufficient financial resources to operate in the current and future years.

Board members considered a number of different options including remanding the issue back to the Charter School Commission and staying the revocation for one year's time.

The Board's next regularly scheduled meeting is set for October 13-14, 2010 at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho.
