(Boise). Students and families across the state can get free information and assistance in applying for financial aid for college at the 2012 Statewide FAFSA Completion Events being held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Financial aid professionals, along with other volunteers and tax preparers, will be on hand to provide expertise and answer questions about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA Completion events are funded through the College Access Challenge Grant.

“These events help connect parents and students to financial aid resources,” said Jessica Piper, Project Coordinator for the Idaho State Board of Education’s College Access Challenge Grant. “The opportunity to ask individual questions and work with professionals to fill out the application can make the process much more manageable.”

Events are scheduled in Sandpoint, Coeur d’Alene, Lewiston, Moscow, McCall, Boise, Meridian, Weiser, Nampa, Twin Falls, Burley, Pocatello, Salmon and Idaho Falls.
