State Board of Education To Hold Meeting At Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind
The Idaho State Board of Education will meet April 17 beginning 9:00 A.M.
(MST) in the Small Gymnasium at the Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind in
Gooding, Idaho.

The Board will:
- Hear a discussion regarding indexing student fees in order to provide the Board, institutions, students and parents with an understanding of how fees will change in the future. The Chair of the President’s Council, Dr. Michael Burke from North Idaho College, will lead the discussion.
- Discuss a proposal by the University of Idaho to be admitted to the Sun Belt Athletic Conference.
- Continue discussion of a proposal for
statewide coordination of the delivery of postsecondary education, including
the role of the “local” institution when an institution from outside of the
region wants to come in and offer educational programs.
- Review requests for new undergraduate programs:
- A Bachelor of Science in Virtual Technology and Design from the University of Idaho
- A Master’s of Science in Materials Science Engineering from Boise State University.
- Review proposed polices on Adequate Yearly
