Dr. Michael Graham of Boise will be assuming his duties as the new Administrator of IDVR on August 18th. Mr. Graham comes to (IDVR) from the Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, where he has been the executive director for the past four and a half years.
Idaho Vocational Rehabilitation, a division under the State Board of Education, helps Idahoans with disabilities secure and maintain employment. IDVR provides vocational guidance and counseling, assessment and job training.
"Dr. Graham comes to the position of Administrator of Vocational Rehabilitation with excellent leadership abilities and background. We are pleased he is joining the Division," said State Board of Education President Blake Hall.
Dr. Graham holds a Doctorate Degree in Special Education in Blindness and Visual Impairments from the University of Northern Colorado and a master's degree in vocational rehabilitation. He and his wife have two teenage children.
"I have a passion for people with disabilities, as I understand their potential and possible contributions to the state," said Dr. Graham. "As Administrator for IDVR I will have the opportunity to effect that which is so important to me."
