The Idaho State Board of Education will meet in Pocatello, Idaho on December 4-5, 2003. The meeting will be held in the Salmon River Suite of the Student Union Building on the campus of Idaho State University. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. both days.

The Board will:
Hear a report from Idaho State University regarding progress on their strategic plan.
Discuss the cost of higher education.
Input on the issue will be received from:
- Dr. Dene Thomas, LCSC President, Presidents' Council, on access
- Mason Fuller, U of I Student Body President, on student fees
- Ken Harris, U of I Assistant Vice President, Institutional Planning and Budget, on Undergraduate Cost of College Study
Hear a report on public charter schools from the Board's sub-committee. This report is in preparation for the SBOE report to the Legislature.
Receive an update on the higher education bonded projects.
Discuss Intercollegiate Athletics Annual Financial Reports and Employee Compensation Reports.
Discuss athletic conference affiliations for Boise State University (Mountain West Athletic Conference) and the University of Idaho (Western Athletic Conference).
Hear an update on the University of Idaho Presidential Search.
Consider approval of a new BSU Undergraduate Program--B.S., Materials Science and Engineering.
Consider approval of a new ISU Administrative Unit, the Idaho Center for Disability Evaluation.
Hear a presentation from Deloitte & Touche on the financial audits of Boise State University, Idaho State University, Lewis-Clark State College, and the University of Idaho.
Hold an executive session in accordance with Idaho Code 67-2345 (1) (a), (b) (d) and (f).
Hear a presentation on the scope and process of the University Place Review.
