Boise - Idaho's MOST, "Maximizing Opportunities for Students and Teachers," announces the premier

in their classrooms. The documentary will air across the state on Saturday evening, April 19, 2003.

the following areas: KTFT in the Magic Valley area, KPVI in eastern Idaho, and KREM in northern Idaho.
The video news magazine features Idaho's students and educators from kindergarten classes to college
student teaching programs. More than a dozen classrooms in the Coeur d 'Alene area, Moscow, Lewiston,
Cascade, Eagle, Boise, Meridian, Jerome, Twin Falls, Pocatello and Idaho Falls were recorded for the program.
"Idaho's children are Idaho's gold," said Jim Hammond, Idaho's MOST Chair and Vice President of the Idaho State
Board of Education. "I believe deeply in the importance of teaching. It is time to elevate respect for the
teaching profession and this documentary, which is being broadcast on television stations throughout the state,
is a fitting affirmation of Idaho's teachers."
Idaho's MOST, an initiative of the Idaho State Board of Education,
is funded by grants from the J.A. & Kathryn Albertson Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education.
Idaho's MOST was created by the State Board, in partnership with the National Commission on Teaching and America's Future (NCTAF), to review and revise teaching policy in the following areas: new teacher preparation, certification and licensing, professional development, and the teaching environment.
