MOSCOW - The Idaho State Board of Education will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. (PST) Wednesday, February 18, to announce the new president of the University of Idaho. A phone bridge will be available for reporters to call in from around the state at 1-866-864-7535. A satellite feed with B-roll and presidential interviews will also be available on Wednesday. Coordinates will be released later today.
The announcement will take place on the University of Idaho campus in Moscow at the Clearwater Room of the Idaho Commons Building. State Board of Education Vice President and chairman of the presidential screening committee Jim Hammond will make the formal announcement followed by a question-and-answer session with the new president.
Following the announcement, there will be a university-wide reception until 11:30 a.m. outside the Clearwater Room at the Commons. The president will then meet with a variety of student, faculty, staff and administrative groups during the remainder of the afternoon. At 4:30 p.m., at the 1912 Building in downtown Moscow, the university will host a community reception for the new president, which is free and open to the public.
