MOSCOW -- The Idaho State Board of Education is pleased to announce Dr. Timothy P. White will serve as the 16th President of the University of Idaho. "We have found an exceptionally strong and dynamic leader in Dr. White," said State Board of Education President Blake Hall. "The Board is confident Dr. White will lead the University of Idaho to the next level of excellence."

Jim Hammond, State Board Vice President and head of the University of Idaho presidential screening committee added, "For six months, the State Board of Education and the presidential screening committee combed through 70 applicants to find just the right person to lead the University of Idaho. Dr. White has the experience both academically and administratively to move the University of Idaho ahead. It's a great day for University of Idaho students, faculty and alumni."
