STATE BOARD PUBLISHES HIGHER EDUCATION BOOK

BOISE -- The State Board of Education recently published its annual “Higher Education in Idaho” booklet for students interested in attending college in Idaho.

The 43-page booklet offers students individual summaries of each Idaho institution as well as a step-by-step guide to applying for college. The Higher Education booklet also offers side-by-side comparisons of Idaho institutions’ fees, degree offerings, and information on application and scholarship deadlines.

“'The Higher Education in Idaho' booklet is an excellent resource for students, teachers and parents. Deciding on where to attend college can be a daunting and confusing task. By putting this information in one source, students can easily compare fees, programs and application deadlines and choose which Idaho institution is best for them,” said Gary Stivers, Executive Director for the State Board of Education.

Colleges and universities featured in the Higher Education in Idaho booklet include: Albertson College of Idaho, Boise Bible College, Boise State University, Brigham Young University-Idaho, College of Southern Idaho, Eastern Idaho Technical College, Lewis-Clark State College, Idaho State University, North Idaho College, Northwest Nazarene University and the University of Idaho.

Booklets were distributed to every high school in Idaho. To view the Higher Education in Idaho booklet on-line go to: http://www.boardofed.idaho.gov
