(BOISE) Governor Dirk Kempthorne today reappointed Eagle resident Rod Lewis and Blake Hall of Idaho Falls as members of the Idaho State Board of Education.
Lewis is currently serving as president of the ISBOE. He was originally appointed to the State Board of Education by Governor Kempthorne in March 2000.
Hall was originally appointed to the ISBOE by Governor Kempthorne in September of 2000 and served as the president of the ISBOE from 2002 to 2004.
Both are near the end of their first five-year terms as members of the board.
"Blake and Rod's service on the State Board of Education has been invaluable as Idaho explores a number of innovations in education," Kempthorne said. "We've made a number of advancements and I look forward to our continued
endeavor to always improve the education of the children of Idaho."
Governor Kempthorne also announced the appointment of retired Maj. Gen. Jack Kane, the former Adjutant General for the Idaho National Guard, as chairman of the State Capitol Commission.
"General Kane's long, distinguished service to the people of Idaho make him a natural choice as one of the people to safeguard the historic significance of our magnificent State Capitol," Kempthorne said.
