ISU Presidential Candidates to Visit Idaho

Four finalists to become Idaho State University 's next president will visit Idaho throughout the month of January meeting with faculty, students, alumni and community leaders.

"Having the finalists in Idaho is the next step in our presidential search. It's a great opportunity for the public to personally meet the finalists and learn more about each one. In return, the finalists get to meet the Idaho State University community and share their thoughts on the future of the University," said Karen McGee, State Board of Education member and head of the ISU Presidential Search Advisory Committee.

Finalists will visit ISU campuses in Pocatello , Idaho Falls and Boise . The general public is welcome to attend events listed. The public and media availabilities are as follows.

Wednesday, January 11, 2006 - Pocatello

10:30 to 10:55 a.m. Media availability at the ISU campus in Pocatello. Please contact Libby Howe, ISU Director of University Relations at (208) 282-2930, to schedule a time to interview Dr. Noren. 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dr. Noren will participate in an open forum for students at the Pond Student Union Building Theatre. 4 to 5 p.m. Dr. Noren will introduce himself to ISU faculty and staff at the Stephens Performing Arts Center, Bistline Theatre.

Thursday, January 12, 2006 - Idaho Falls

7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Dr. Noren will participate in an invitational breakfast with Idaho Falls Community Leaders. Media is welcome to attend. The location is the Bennion Student Union Multi-Purpose room.

9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Dr. Noren will participate in an open forum with faculty and staff at University Place in the Sam Bennion Conference Room, room 109,  in the Bennion Student Union Building. Media is welcome to attend

Thursday, January 12, 2006 - Boise

4 to 5 p.m. Dr. Noren will conduct an open forum at the ISU-Boise Center for faculty, staff, students. Media is welcome to attend. The event will be in room 154.
