MAGIC VALLEY MEDIA ADVISORY
(Boise). Representatives from the Idaho State Board of Education (SBOE) will be in the Magic valley on Tuesday, October 28 and Wednesday, October 29, to present two (2) local schools with Additional Yearly Progress Awards. This award is given to schools which make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP under No Child Left Behind) for two consecutive years or more and achieve an increase of 10% or more proficiency in 2008. Only 15 schools (out of a possible 652) in the entire state of Idaho were able to satisfy these requirements. The award presentations will be made to the schools at the following times:
