( Boise). The Office of the Idaho State Board of Education today announced that the newly formed Idaho Bureau of Educational Services for the Deaf and the Blind (IBESDB) will hold their first meeting on July 27, 2009.
The Bureau (IBESDB) was created by the Idaho Legislature during the 2009 session to be the direct governing body for the Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind and its outreach services.
IBESDB is not under the purview of the State Board of Education, but now has its own governor-appointed board. Its members, listed below, serve for a 3 year term, appointed by the governor, with the exception of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, who chairs the bureau; they serve for the full 4 years of their elected term.

The Bureau will meet in the Barbara Morgan Conference Room, 2nd floor of the Len B. Jordan Building, 650 W. State Street in Boise, starting a 10:30am MDT on July 27, 2009.
