(Pocatello). The Idaho State Board of Education voted to approve multiyear contracts for each of four year college and university presidents. The contracts, which were the result of a Board directive to staff at its June meeting, will ensure quality, stable, forward thinking leadership remains on campus, according to Board President Paul C. Agidius. “We have some of the best presidents in the country. Now we will have them for three more years and that is good news for everyone on campus and throughout the state,” added Agidius.
The Board also heard reports from Idaho State University, the State Department of Education, the President’s Council as well as a number of its own committees. The Board also approved contracts for the Head Women’s Volleyball coach at Boise State University, Head Softball Coach at Idaho State.
Representatives from the University of Idaho also updated the Board on their progress with the Kibbie Dome renovation project on the Moscow campus.
The next regularly scheduled meeting for the Board is set for October 14-15, 2009 in Lewiston on the campus of Lewis Clark State College.
