The Idaho Additional Yearly Growth Awards are presented by the State Board of Education to schools whose performance on the Idaho Standards Achievement Test warrants. The ISAT is also used to compute Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as part of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.

This year, fifty-three (53) schools have earned an Additional Yearly Growth award. To earn an Additional Yearly Growth Award a school must:

  • Make AYP two consecutive years
  • Based on on-grade level test
  • Improve in at least one group or subgroup - Ethnicity or Special Programs (Special Ed, LEP, Free and Reduced Lunch) by ten percent from last year
    • Groups/subgroups must have at least 34 or greater student populations
