PRESIDENT - Idaho State University The Idaho State Board of Education invites applications and nominations for the position of President at Idaho State University located in Pocatello, Idaho. BACKGROUND POSITION AND QUALIFICATIONS The qualified candidate will have a terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., M.D., or J.D.); have held a leadership role in an institution of higher education during his or her career and have successful experience in senior level leadership at a complex, multi-site organization of similar scope and scale. The ideal candidate will have, among other qualities, the following attributes: the academic or related background sufficient to lead an academic research institution; the experience and skills to manage and guide a complex, dynamic university; solid financial management experience; demonstrated experience and leadership in fund raising; the political skills to work effectively with a state legislature, the ability to advocate for Idaho State University at the state and local level and with the Idaho State Board of Education; work collaboratively with the other higher educational institutions in the state; and have a commitment to diversity as well as the economic development for the community and the region.
